Please note that some changes have recently been made to the Labour Legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Thus, on November 18, 2023, the Law on amendments to the Labour Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan was adopted (Amendment). The Amendment introduces changes to the probation period for fixed-term employment contracts.
Thus, according to the changes made to the Labour Code, as of now, the probation period for fixed-terms employment contracts concluded for a period up to 6 months shall not exceed 2 weeks. Previously, the probationary period under employment contract was 3 months. The probationary period determined for other types of employment contracts remains unchanged.
